Our Terrain

Access 247,000 acres of remote backcountry terrain, throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor. From the famous Tantalus range, the southern reaches of Sky Pilot Mountain to the remote Ashlu range.  Ski runs range from 300 – 1000m in length and are generally in mid-range alpine terrain, including old-growth tree skiing and expert classic coast mountain steeps.

Massive glaciers, alpine bowls, treeline pillow lines are all on the menu.  Our ski area provides landscapes and terrain that any avid skier or boarder wants, from steep alpine bowls to treeline cruisers.  Whether you’re a first time heli-skier or experienced veteran, our terrain leaves you inspired.

Phantom Heli-Skiing works in partnership with crown land tenure holder Black Tusk Helicopter Inc.

Vital Statistics

  • 247,000 acres of skiable terrain.  That’s more than 33 times the size of Whistler Blackcomb.
  • Over 100 named runs and growing.  We regularly ski new runs with our clients.
  • Many runs descend more than 1000 meters of vertical skiing and our longest runs are over 1500 meters descent.
  • Average snowfall over 12 meters or 40 feet.

Massive Coastal Glaciers

The twisting Coastal fjords end with spectacular icefields and surrounding glaciers.  These provide a dramatic setting for our skiing.  Descend the sweeping glaciers while overlooking the pacific ocean on some of our most dramatic runs.

Old Growth Tree Skiing

Prominent ancient cedars and groves of towering fir trees are abundant throughout the terrain.  Enjoy cruising through the naturally spaced undulating forests.

Steep and Deep

It starts with an annual snowpack of over 12 meters!  This deep snowfall creates the pillows, spines, drops and steeps the Coast Mountains are famous for.

From Sea to Sky

We really are directly in the middle of the famous ‘Sea to Sky’ area of British Columbia.  Some days you’ll literally do it all.  Start on an alpine peak, ski an open bowl and descend into old growth tree skiing.  After hitting some snow pillows, get picked up and have lunch at the Pacific Ocean on a nearby fjord.  Awesome.
